ÖZET Hermeneutik sosyal bilimler metodolojisinde önemli bir konuma sahiptir ve günümüzde bu alanda çalışmalar devam etmektedir. Hans-Georg Gadamer hermeneutiğin en önemli temsilcilerindendir. Gadamer, Heidegger ile başlayan hermeneutiği ontolojik bir temele yerleştirme fikrinden yola çıkarak hermeneutiği evrenselleştirmek istemiştir. Bu bağlamda Gadamer felsefi hermeneutiğinin ayrıntılarını Hakikat ve Yöntem adlı yapıtında anlatmıştır. Gadamer kendinden önceki hermeneutik çalışmalarının epistemolojik açıdan alınmasının, aydınlanmanın doğruluk anlayışının aşılamamasından kaynaklandığını belirterek hermeneutiğe yeni bir bakış açısı kazandırmıştır. Gadamer hermeneutiği tin bilimlerinin temellendirilmesine yönelik bir yöntem olarak kullanan tarihselci görüşe karşıt bir anlayış geliştirerek, tin bilimlerini dünya deneyimimizin anlaşılması olarak yeniden yorumlamıştır. Anlamayı dil ve gelenekten bağımsız ele almayan Gadamer, evrensel bir yaklaşım ile hermeneutiği tüm anlama etkinliği için kullanmıştır. İnsanın dilde yaşayan bir varlık olduğunu belirten Gadamer, anlamanın varoluşşal bir özelliğimiz olduğunu vurgular. Bu nedenle Gadamer, özellikle anlamın gerçekleşmesi için bazı ilkeler üzerinde durmuştur. Bizde tezimizde Hans-Georg Gadamer’in hermeneutik anlayışında anlamın nasıl gerçekleştiği üzerine yoğunlaşarak, bunu anlam-önyargıgelenek ilişkisi çerçevesinde irdelemeye çalıştık. Önyargılar, Gadamer’in üzerinde en çok tartıştığı kavramdır ve anlamın gerçekleşmesinde önemli bir konuma sahiptir. Gadamer, aydınlanma döneminden bu yana olumsuz anlama maruz kalan önyargıları anlamın ön koşulu olarak görür ve önyargılara olumlu bir anlam yükler. Önyargılar anlamın tarihselliğini ortaya koyduğu gibi iletilebilir olmasını da sağlar. Bu açıdan tezimizde Gadamer özeğinde anlamanın önkoşulu olan önyargıların konumunu belirlemeye çalıştık. ABSTRACT Hermeneutik has an important position in the methodology of social sciences, and today studies are continuing in this area. Hans-Georg Gadamer is one of the most important representatives of hermeneutics. Gadamer wanted to universalize hermeneutics, starting with the idea of placing the hermeneutics on an ontological basis, beginning with Heidegger. In this context, Gadamer explained the details of his philosophical hermeneutics in his work Truth and Method. Gadamer gave a new perspective to hermeneutics by stating that taking hermeneutic studies before him from an epistemological perspective is due to the fact that enlightenment is not instilled in the understanding of truth. Gadamer developed an understanding that opposes the historicist view that uses hermeneutics as a method for grounding the sciences of spirit and reinterprets the sciences of spirit as the understanding of our world experience. Gadamer, who does not consider understanding independently from language and tradition, used hermeneutics for all comprehension activities with a universal approach. Stating that human beings are a living being in language, Gadamer emphasizes that understanding is an existential feature of us. For this reason, Gadamer emphasized some principles especially for the realization of meaning. In our thesis, we focused on how meaning takes place in Hans-Georg Gadamer's hermeneutical understanding, and tried to examine this within the framework of the relationship between meaning-prejudice-tradition. Prejudices are the most discussed concept of Gadamer and has an important place in the realization of meaning. Gadamer sees prejudices that have been subjected to negative meaning since the enlightenment period as a pre-condition of meaning and gives a positive meaning to prejudices. Prejudices not only reveal the historicity of meaning, but also make it communicable. From this point of view, we tried to determine the position of prejudices in Gadamer's essence, which is a prerequisite for understanding.
