ÖZET: Postkolonyal feminizm cinsiyet, ırk ve sömürgecilik arasındaki kesiĢmelere odaklanan bir feminizm dalıdır. Batı feminizminin kadınların deneyimlerini çoğu zaman dıĢlayıcı ve ihmalkar olma biçimlerini açığa çıkarmaya yardımcı olur. Bu bağlamda, Postkolonyal feminizm farklı kültürel geçmiĢlere sahip kadınların benzersiz deneyimlerini ve bakıĢ açılarını anlamanın önemini de vurgular. Tek ve evrensel bir kadınlık deneyimi olmadığını ve kadınların deneyimlerinin sosyal, kültürel ve tarihsel bağlamları tarafından Ģekillendirildiğini kabul eder. Postkolonyal feminizmde pek çok tema vardır ve en önemlilerinden biri aidiyet ve kimlik arayıĢıdır. Andrea Levy'nin The Fruit of the Lemon ve Jhumpa Lahiri'nin The Namesake adlı eserleri, postkolonyal feminizm perspektifinden aidiyet ve kimlik arayıĢı temalarını incelerken önemli örnekler sunmaktadır. Bu eserler, postkolonyal feminizmin odaklandığı gibi, toplumsal cinsiyet, ırk ve kimlik arayıĢlarının nasıl kesiĢtiğini ve bireylerin yaĢamlarını nasıl etkilediğini gösterir. Dolayısıyla bu tezin amacı iki kadın yazarın eserlerindeki postkolonyal dönemde farklı ülkelere farklı sebeplerden dolayı göç etmiĢ olan kadınların gittikleri ülkelerde yaĢadıkları aidiyet ve kimlik sorununlarının analizini yapmaktır.

ABSTRACT: Postcolonial feminism is a branch of feminism that focuses on the intersections between gender, race and colonialism. It helps to expose the ways in which Western feminism has often excluded and neglected women's experiences. In this context, postcolonial feminism also emphasises the importance of understanding the unique experiences and perspectives of women from different cultural backgrounds. It recognises that there is no single, universal experience of womanhood and that women's experiences are shaped by their social, cultural and historical contexts. There are many themes in postcolonial feminism and one of the most important is the search for belonging and identity. Andrea Levy's The Fruit of the Lemon and Jhumpa Lahiri's The Namesake provide important examples of exploring the themes of belonging and the search for identity from the perspective of postcolonial feminism. These works show how gender, race and the search for identity, as focussed on by postcolonial feminism, intersect and affect the lives of individuals. Therefore, the aim of this thesis is to analyse the problems of belonging and identity experienced by women who migrated to different countries for different reasons in the postcolonial period in the works of two women writers.
