ÖZET Türk edebiyatında önemli ve köklü bir yere sahip olan şiir, geçmişi çok eskilere dayanan bir edebi türdür. Temeli İslamiyet öncesi dönemde atılan Türk şiiri, Divan Edebiyatı ile beraber büyük bir gelişim kaydeder. İlerleyen zamanlarda toplumda meydana gelen sosyal, siyasi ve kültürel değişimlerle birlikte Batının örnek alınmaya başlamasıyla da yeni bir ufuk kazanır. Bu doğrultuda ilerleme gösteren Türk şiiri, Cumhuriyet döneminde çeşitli topluluklar ve şiir anlayışları vasıtasıyla varlığını ve gelişimini devam ettirir. Günümüzde Türk şiiri farklı coğrafyalarda da varlığını sürdürür. Osmanlı Devleti sınırları içerisinde yer almış olan Irak günümüzde de Osmanlı kültürünün ve sanatının etkilerinin hissedildiği bir coğrafya özelliği taşır. Burada yaşayan Türk şair ve yazarlar edebi hayatın bu coğrafyada ayakta kalması için çabalayarak Türk Edebiyatına katkıda bulunmuşlardır. Bu çalışmada Irak Türkmen Edebiyatının 20. yüzyılın temsilcilerinden biri olan Erbilli şair Esat Erbil'in şiirlerinde tema incelenecektir. Her tarzda şiir kaleme alan ve Erbil’de önemli bir yere sahip olan şair, Irak Türkmen Edebiyatında önemli bir edebi şahsiyet olmasına rağmen hakkında daha önce yeterli ve kapsamlı bir çalışma yapılmamıştır. Dolayısıyla şairi ve şiirini daha iyi tanımak ve anlamak için hayatı, kişiliği ve şiirleri hakkında derli toplu ve disiplinli bir çalışma hazırlanmasına gerek duyulmuştur. Bu çalışma sırasında kaynak tarama yöntemi, şair ile birebir görüşme ve röportaj yöntemleri kullanılmıştır. Şairin hayatı, ailesi, çevresi, etkisi, tanınması ve eserleri müstakil başlıklar halinde ele alınmıştır. II Kitap halinde yayınlanan ve kitaplarına girmeyen tüm şiirleri transkripsiyon yöntemiyle günümüz Türkiye Türkçesine çevrilmiştir. Ayrıca şiirlerde bulunan halk diline ve Erbil yöresine ait kelimeler açıklanmıştır. Şairin şiirlerinin dökümü, dizini ve şaire ait temin edilen dokümanlar e kler bölümünde verilmiştir . ABSTRACT Poetry, which has an important and rooted place in Turkish literature, is a literary genre dating back to ancient times. Turkish poetry, whose foundation was laid in the pre-Islamic period, makes a great progress with the Divan Literature. In later times, with the social, political and cultural changes that took place in the society, it gained a new horizon as the West began to be taken as an example. Turkish poetry, which progressed in this direction, continues its existence and development through various societies and poetry conceptions in the Republic period. Today, Turkish poetry continues its existence in different geographies. Located within the borders of the Ottoman State, Iraq is a geography where the effects of Ottoman culture and art are felt today. Turkish poets and writers living here have contributed to Turkish literature by striving for the literary life to survive in this geography. In this study, the theme in the poems of Erbil's poet Esat Erbil, who is one of the representatives of Iraqi Turkmen Literature in the 20th century, will be examined. Although the poet, who has written poems in every genre and has an important place in Erbil, is an important literary figure in Iraqi Turkmen Literature, no sufficient and comprehensive study has been done before. Therefore, in order to know and understand the poet and his poetry better, it was necessary for him to prepare a compact and disciplined study about his life, personality and poetry. During this study, the method of scanning the sources, one-on-one interview with the poet and interview methods were used. The life, family, environment, IV influence, recognition and works of the poet are discussed under separate titles. All published poems and poems are not included in the book have been translated into modern Turkey Turkish with transcription methods. In addition, the words of the folk language and the Erbil region in the poems were explained. The poem's poems, index and documents provided by the poet are given in the appendices section.
