ÖZET Amediye ilçesindeki çeşitli turizm bileşenlerinden yararlanmak ve turistlerin kendilerini rahat hissettiği farklı turizm hizmetleri sunmak için bunları turizm merkezlerinin gereklilikleri doğrultusunda kullanmak zorunludur. Ziyaretçilerin gelişini kolaylaştıran modern araç ve tekniklerin kullanımı sayesinde, kültür alışverişi, bölgenin mirasına erişim, farklı ülkelerden turist hareketi olacak bölgeye doğru gerçekleşmiştir. Turizm ülkeye döviz kazancı yoluyla ekonomik tarafını güçlendirmede katkıda bulunur. Bu nedenle bölgede turizm sektörünün gelişmesi çalışma alanında, sosyal ve kültürel değişim yaşanıcak, işsizlik oranı azalıcak, birçok iş imkânı sağlayarak genel olarak özel çalışma alanı ve Irak'ın, ekonomik ve ticari faaliyet merkezlerinden biri yapmasına katkıda bulanacaktır. Araştırmanın amaçları şunlardır; Amediye ve yakın çevresindeki turizm gücünü etkileyen önemli faktörleri (Fiziki-Beşerî) belirlemek, çalışma alanındaki turizm alanında yatırım yapılabilecek jeomorfolojik çekicilikleri tespit etmektir. Ayrıca turizm yatırımlarını optimize etmek için coğrafya ve diğer bilimlerdeki uzmanlar tarafından kullanılacak bir veritabanı oluşturmaktır. Bu amaç doğrultusunda; inceleme alanının coğrafi konumu, bölgenin fiziki coğrafya özellikleri, beşeri ve ekonomik coğrafya özellikleri, turizm değerleri, başlıca turizm alanları, ilçedeki turistik anlamda ziyaret eden kişilerin durumu ve süresi, Amediye İlçesinin geliştirilebilecek alternatif turizm olanakları, ilçedeki turizmi etkileyen olumlu ve olumsuz unsurlar değerlendirilecektir. Çalışma üç bölümden oluşmaktadır: Birinci bölümde, alanın jeolojik özellikleri (her türlü kıvrımlar) ve fiziki coğrafya özellikleri (arazi, toprak, su kaynakları, iklim, toprak ve doğal bitki) ele alınmıştır. İkinci bölümde ise çalışma alanının beşerî coğrafya özellikleri arasında (nüfus artışı ve coğrafi dağılım, nüfus yoğunluğu, nüfus kompozisyonu ve göç) açıklanmıştır. Üçüncü bölümde ise: Çalışma alanındaki turizm çekicililerinin yanı sıra turizm ve altyapı hizmetlerinde çalışan insan gücünü de ele alınmıştır.

ABSTRACT In order to benefit from the various tourism components in the Amediye district and to offer different tourism services that tourists feel comfortable with, it is imperative to use them in line with the requirements of tourism centers. Thanks to the use of modern tools and techniques that facilitate the arrival of visitors, cultural exchange, access to the heritage of the region has taken place towards the region where there will be a tourist movement from different countries. Tourism contributes to strengthening the economic side of the country through foreign exchange earnings, and therefore, the development of the tourism sector in the region will experience social and cultural change, decrease the unemployment rate, and contribute to making Iraq one of the economic and commercial activity centers by providing many job opportunities. The aims of the research are as follows; To determine the important factors (Physical - Human) that affect the tourism power of Amedi and its immediate surroundings, to determine the geomorphological attractions that can be invested in the field of tourism in the study area. It is also to create a database to be used by experts in geography and other sciences to optimize tourism investments. In accordance with this purpose; The geographical location of the study area, the physical geography characteristics of the region, human and economic geography characteristics, tourism values, main tourism areas, the status and duration of the people visiting the district in terms of tourism, alternative tourism opportunities that can be developed in Amediye District, positive and negative factors affecting tourism in the district will be evaluated. The study consists of three parts: In the first part, the geological features of the area (all kinds of folds) and physical geography features (land, soil, water resources, climate, soil and natural vegetation) are discussed. In the second part, the human geography characteristics of the study area (population growth and geographical distribution, population density, population composition and migration) are explained. In the third part: In addition to the tourism attractors in the study area, the manpower working in tourism and infrastructure services is also discussed.
